Inspiration

These are the times in which a genius would wish to live. It is not in the still calm of life, or the repose of a pacific station, that great characters are formed. The habits of a vigorous mind are formed in contending with difficulties. Great necessities call out great virtues.  When a mind is raised, and animated by scenes that engage the heart, then those qualities which would otherwise lay dormant, wake into life and form the character of the hero and the statesman.

Abigail Adams, 1744-1818, wife of John Adams, 2nd president of the U.S., and mother of John Quincy Adams, 6th president.

“You’re always getting a perfect vibrational match to what you predominantly give your attention to. But you’ve got to make the best of it. You’ve got to vibrate slightly different from where you are if you are going to improve where you are. You can’t keep taking score of where your business is or your relationship is or your body is without continuing to create it as it is. To make improvement, you’ve got to reach for a different thought.” Abraham

“But it does take the determination that you’re going to put your thoughts upon something that does feel good. And so, here we’re going to make a very bold statement: any disease could be healed in a matter of days, any disease, if distraction from it could occur and a different vibration dominate–and the healing time is about how much mix-up there is in all of that.” Abraham

Inspiration comes forth from within.  It’s what the light burning within you is about, as opposed to motivation, which is doing it because if you don’t do it, there will be negative repercussions.  Motivation is making myself do something that I don’t really want to do.  Inspiration is having the clear picture of what I am wanting — and letting Universal forces come into play to get the outcome.”

“Be enthroned in the castle of goodness, and your memories will be like beautiful flowers in a garden of noble dreams. ” ~ Paramahansa Yogananda

… If you want to do something you have never done before,
you have to do something you have never done before.
If you want to go somewhere you have never gone before,
you have to go somewhere you have never gone before.
You cannot do something new by doing old things. If
you want your life to change, you have to change your
life. So go ahead. It’s safe. And it’s also… about time.

Neale Donald Walsch
