A Perspective On I Am

NeuronThis is a neuron. It is a great visual for contemplating I Am because it is billions if these that form our operating system.   It reminds me of the letter i.  The neuron is the conductor of nerve impulses.   It is a ‘Dr. Zeus’-like visual for an awareness of thoughts/emotions as the energy in motion which is our network or program for creating our reality.  As we evolve we are creating new neural nets.  Our focus, attention and use maintain and strengthen the connections of the network.   We are all in the process of becoming….. more of who we are or less.  It is our choice and every choice with all its moving parts such as attitude, perspective, drive, passion, anger, fear contributes to the creation.

We have seen this iconic shape in nature and computer generated fractals. It’s form viewed as a fractal, is a repeating pattern found throughout creation.

In Dr. Wayne Dyer’s new book Wishes Fulfilled he goes into great depth on our relationship with that which is “The I Am That I Am” as a vehicle to changing your self concept.   He uses a lot of the teachings of Neville.

“Health, wealth, beauty, and genius are not created; they are ony manifested by the arrangement of your mind–that is, by your concept of yourself, and your concept of yourself is all that you accept and consent to as true.”  Neville

What is your Awareness of ordinary and extraordinary self concepts?  For Dr. Dyer ordinary means you do all the things that your culture and family have programmed you to do.  You fit in, study hard, follow the rules, take care of your obligations, pay your taxes, get a job, do what every law-abiding citizen does; and then you retire, play with your grandchildren, and ultimately die.  And that is all fine.  Then there is extraordinary,”which encompasses most of the ordinary but extraordinary consciousness is associated with your soul, that invisible, boundaryless energy that looks out from behind your eyeballs and has very different interests than your ordinary self does.”

 He believes one of the ideals  of your soul is expansion.  That this invisible aspect of the self is a fragment of the universal soul, which is infinite.  Thoughts of God or any of the great masters, stir the idea of expanding the self and removing any and all limitations.  This is the extraordinary self concept, the one that is inspired by your soul.  “…your self concept is everything that you believe to be true about yourself…which has landed you precisely where you live and breathe every day of your life.  Your beliefs about yourself are like the ingredients in a recipe that you use to create your self concept.  Those ingredients or beliefs fall into two specific categories:  your outer self-concept and your inner self-concept.

“A higher concept of yourself involves taking on new truths and shedding your old views of what you can achieve.  This is the only way you can achieve your desires.”  Wayne Dyer

Basically he is saying that if you believe that you are a piece of God (Source) then you have the potential to become more like that from which you came.   As you claim the relationship for yourself and acknowledge the connection with everyone, you are on the path of fulfilling your wishes and creating a reality in which all things are possible.

“All transformation begins with an intense burning desire to be transformed.  An inner knowing, along with a burning desire, is the prerequisite for becoming a person capable of manifesting his or her heart’s desires.”   Wayne Dyer

Three suggestions for redefining your self concept:

  1. “Redefine your self-concept by challenging everything that you’ve held to be true about yourself up until now.  Be open to examining everything you’ve previously thought limited you in any way.  Affirm:  I place no limits and no restrictions on all that I intend to accomplish and become from here on in.”
  2. “Allow yourself to become aware of the nonphysical reality that you are a part of.  Reach out to the angels or occupants of this higher invisible plane.  Know that you can access guidance from those who’ve lived here before.  Spend time in meditation accessing the feelings of a plane of higher consciousness.”
  3. “Whenever you’re experiencing discomfort or sadness, rather than trying to change the thought behind your emotional state, instead just put it back onto the never-ending conveyor belt of thoughts, and then select a different thought.  Keep doing this until you’ve selected a thought that allows you to feel good, and you’re no longer condemning yourself for creating unhappy thoughts.”

Neural networks which hold the patterns of thoughts/feelings that no longer serve you will weaken and disappear from your expression.
