Thought Provoking Quotes from Dying To Be Me

I think there are a lot of us who are fascinated with those who have had near death experiences and can tell us about the after life. Anita Moorjani has written about her experience in Dying To Be Me: My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing
Her total remission from Stage 4B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is well documented. Here are some quotes which I thought are very significant to our understanding of our physical experience.

“I want to clarify that my healing wasn’t so much born from a shift in my states of mind or beliefs as it was from finally allowing my true spirit to shine through. Many have asked me if something like positive thinking caused my recovery, and the answer is no. The state I was in during my NED was way beyond the mind and I healed because my damaging thoughts were simply out of the way completely. I was not in a state of thinking, but a state of being. It was pure consciousness – what I call magnificence! This state of Oneness transcends duality. I was able to get in touch with who I truly am, the part of me that’s eternal, infinite, and encompasses the Whole. This definitely wasn’t a case of mind over matter.” Anita Moorjani, Dying To Be Me

I had a NDE which may have lasted all of five minutes. I had streptoccoyl pneumonia which was in my blood. The most significant aspect for me was whatever I thought I experienced immediately, from watching myself in my hospital bed to thinking about my son and being at home looking at him while he slept. When I returned there was no doubt in my mind that consciousness was eternal and death was not to be feared.

“Having awareness, on the other hand, just means realizing what exists and what’s possible – without judgment. Awareness doesn’t need defending. It expands with growth and can be all-encompassing, bringing us closer to the state of Oneness. This is where miracles take place. In contrast, beliefs only allow what we deem credible while keeping out everything else.

“So, no it wasn’t my beliefs that caused me to heal. My NDE was a state of pure awareness, which is a state of complete suspension of all previously held doctrine and dogma. This allowed my body to “reset” itself. In other words, an absence of belief was required for my healing.”

Note: Pure Awareness is the key. Reference to Dr. Kinslow technique to experience Pure Awareness.

“The dichotomy is that for true healing to occur, I must let go of the need to be healed and just enjoy and trust in the ride that is life.

“Realizing that I am love was the important lesson I learned. Allowing me to release all fear, and that’s the key that saved my life.

“During my NDE, it felt as if I were connected to the entire universe and everything contained within it; and it seemed that the cosmos was alive, dynamic, and conscious. I found that every thought, emotion, or action I made while expressing through the physical body had an effect on the Whole. In fact, in that realm of Oneness, it felt as though the whole universe are an extension of me. This realization has, of course, dramatically changed the way I view things. We’re all co-creating this world and our lives within it through our emotions, thoughts and actions.

“I sense that we choose to incarnate into a physical body in order to express love, passion, and the full range of other human emotions not available to us separately in the state of pure awareness and Oneness. What if this life on this planet – is the main show, where the action is, and where we wanted to be? This reality is a playground of expression. It looks as though we aren’t here to learn or gather experiences for the after life. There doesn’t seem to be much purpose in that because we don’t need any of it there. Rather, we’re here to experience and evolve this physical universe and our own lives within it. We don’t have to wait until we die to experience nirvana. Our true magnificence exists right now.”

This quote in particular is so provocative. Abraham always refers to us as being ‘leading edge creators’ ‘taking thought beyond where it has been before’. That our physical lifetime is about co-creating with Source.
